Chiropractic Care

Dr. Behrends is knowledgeable in spinal and extremity chiropractic adjustments. The purpose of spinal adjustments is to return the spine to a natural state of movement and to reduce pain, muscle spasms, and inflammation, so you can enjoy your life pain free.

Dr. Behrends believes in hands on chiropractic care that includes manual adjustments to the spine and extremities and incorporating manual therapies to the muscles and connective tissue to improve the timeliness of your recovery.

Muscle Tension Relief

We utilize a variety of techniques to relieve your aching and tight muscles. Dr. Behrends is trained in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, therapeutic stretching and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) to get you relief. When standard adjustments are combined with muscle tension relief Dr. Behrends is able to get you back to health faster.

Health/Work/Sports Physicals

Dr. Behrends can perform physicals that satisfy the requirements for general wellness, pre-employment, and pre-athletic participation physicals. These physicals can be performed regardless of current status as a patient of Behrends Spine and Wellness. Call to schedule your physical.

DOT Physicals/Corporate Programs

Dr. Behrends is pleased to offer driver-friendly DOT physicals in Eastern Iowa. Drivers are able to schedule fast and convenient physicals that reduce downtime and keep drivers on the road. DOT physicals take 15-30 minutes depending on the number of medical conditions.

Businesses that wish to offer their drivers DOT physicals as part of their compensation/benefit plans are also encouraged to reach out about our corporate programs. We also offer additional services pertaining to corporate wellness including traditional chiropractic treatments, general workplace wellness, workplace injury prevention, workplace injury treatments, personal wellness, and ergonomic training.
